Funny Video.......

I know a lot of these fails must have hurt.  But let's be honest, they're pretty funny.

Ever Wanted a Cinema in your House?

Have you ever wanted an even wider widescreen TV?  Well, Vizio's new release certainly fits that category.  The company's latest TV, The UltraWide, features an ultra widescreen display with an aspect ratio of 21:9.  It also comes in three different screen sizes, 50, 58 and 71 inches which all sport a native resolution of 2560x1080.  Bear in mind this is only because of the wider screen and will not change normal pixel density for an HDTV.  Now, the reason given for the wider aspect ratio is so you can watch movies made for widescreen without any black bars on the top and bottom of your screen.

More features of this amazing new TV include 3D, 120Hz refresh rate, built in wi-fi, edge-backlit LED  and a qwerty keyboard on the back of the remote.  The 71 inch however, sports a refresh rate of 240Hz and a full-array LED backlight.  The only bad thing I can find about this TV is the price.  It will start at $3499US and continue to rise as the inches get higher.

iPad Mini?

So could Apple possibly be releasing a smaller version of the iPad, dubbed the "iPad Mini".  According to GigaOm's Darrell Etherington, this device's release would follow an early 2012 release of the iPad 3.  But I think the "iPad Mini" might actually be the iPad 3, rumoured for so long.  However, I don't think this would be a bad thing, but only if the price is smaller as well.  I'm not saying that the iPad 2 is expensive, but it's not cheap either.  Another reason I think the "iPad Mini" idea is a good one is because sometimes the iPad feels a bit too big and not all that portable.  I know a lot of people love the size of the iPad, but I like something slightly smaller and the reported size of the "iPad Mini's" screen is just that.  At a size of 7.85 inches it's small enough to be more portable than the original iPad and iPad 2 but not so small that it's hard to read text clearly on the screen, especially if the resolution is the same as the iPad's original 1024x768.  The last thing I want to say is that if Apple do release the "iPad Mini" at a lower price I would certainly be considering getting one.

Apple releasing TV's?

So we all know that Apple TV is not actually a TV, right?  I thought I would just clear that up because according to "TechnoBuffalo" Apple are supposedly releasing an OLED TV in April/May.  Now, personally, I would love to see Apple release a TV seeing as the screens they produce on all of their devices are absolutely crystal clear.  But I somehow don't see this happening in a few months time.  Anyway, Jon Rettinger from "TechnoBuffalo" wrote that the new Apple OLED TV will sport "Siri" voice control and face recognition.  The Apple TV is also supposed to be released in sizes up to 42 inches and if true, will be the largest OLED HDTV on the market.  While this all sounds great I somehow think it will be a rather expensive product if it is, in fact, released.

Having trouble with iTunes

Well, we all know how dominant Apple is but to be honest, some of the software they produce isn't as user friendly as it may suggest.  I'm talking about iTunes.

One of the biggest problem I've had is with syncing my iPod.  I first synced my old iPod with a desktop PC and all was fine and dandy.  The problems came when i tried to sync it with a laptop PC as well.  My iPod would start syncing with the laptop and then a pop-up window would appear saying "this iPod is already synced with another iTunes library.  If you continue the sync, all data on the connected iPod will be erased."  Of course that sounded daunting so I cancelled the sync thinking there would be an easy fix.  So I opened iTunes help and looked under "syncing" but found nothing.  I would say it took me at least half an hour to find my solution and by then I was deep into Apple Support.  Now you are probably thinking I was incredibly stupid, but apparently all I had to do was authorize both of the computers with my Apple ID.  So I went into "Store" on the taskbar and clicked on "Authorise this computer."  Then I entered my Apple ID and that was it.  As long as both of the computers were authorized with my Apple ID I could safely sync my iPod with both of them.  The thing that annoyed me was how hard it was to find that out.  I know I probably should have resorted to Google but I was so intrigued to see how hard it was going to be, that I continued with Apple Support.

So, maybe it was just my stupidity but I have had small niggles with seemingly simple problems to do with iTunes after this incident.  So, in conclusion I think that Apple maybe need to look into making iTunes slightly more user-friendly than they make it out to be.
